The government’s application for the order, which was obtained last summer, laid out investigators’ basis for believing Page was an agent of the Russian government and knowingly engaged in clandestine activities on behalf of Moscow. This is the first evidence that the FBI had reason to believe that a Trump campaign adviser was in touch with Russian agents.
