Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday faced a fierce grilling from House Republicans amid the escalating feud between the Justice Department and allies of President Trump on Capitol Hill.
The five-hour hearing before the House Judiciary Committee contained plenty of fireworks as that feud spilled over into public view.
By the time Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) gaveled out, it was clear the GOP was still deeply unsatisfied by the department’s response to their demands [.....]

It was the culmination of months of intensifying conflict between House Republicans and the Justice Department, which has refused to hand over reams of documents officials say are highly sensitive.

Yeah, great clip, thank you. Is helpful to hear him talk this way, in response, rather than just doing talking points announcements, like you point out, gives a better sense of his attitude, where he's at.

It's also an example of what it takes to be in his shoes right now. He could obviously barely control his anger at Jay Johnson (who is a tool, let's face it), yet I think he did a marvelous job. Can't imagine this makes him more inclined to help those inclined to impede Mueller.

The following story on Rosenstein is according to four people familiar with his outbursts, which makes me wonder who those four people are and what they are up to saying this to the NYT the day after the testimony

Collusion? GOP & Duma get a room in Berlin, rough riding through sanctions. It's obvious that the bar for treason has gotten much higher, since half the GOP is now compromised by cooperating in an ongoing plot.
