The United States should support the Kurd move toward an independent state.
It would require a lot of work to pull off. Negotiations between Turkey, Iran, and Iraq would call on all our resources.
If done well, the result would be much prettier than another wall.

Yeah that is even beyond realpolitik-- it's simply worse than idiotic for all the other parties involved to think Kurds are going to happily submit to being the sub culture of another country after fighting like they did this last go round. Even if treated like royalty, which no doubt would not be the case. How can any good come of it? What are Turkey, Iran and Iraq even thinking? It's delusional (of course, lot of that going around, U.S. Prez in a leadership role )
