The intra-Palestinian meeting in Moscow has precedent
— Hanna Notte (@HannaNotte) February 29, 2024
Russia's hosted such meetings in the past, most recently Feb 2019
Russia has long lamented the US' "monopolization" of the peace process & tried to carve out a niche for itself: mediating among the disunited Palestinians/2

- Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;
- Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and
- If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.

A mass expulsion of Afghan migrants could destabilize the region and fuel radicalization. The West should pressure Islamabad to change course.
All eyes on #Chad right now
Chad has two internet trunks coming into the country: One from the Red Sea via Sudan; the other from Cameroon. Not possible for the totality of the country's internet network to be shut unless done centrally. A lot of rumors swirling; few facts. https://t.co/N6bDJZ2ixO

In 1992 we were told it was the year of the woman. Anita Hill testified. Clarence Thomas was appointed to the Supreme Court. Here we are with allegations in 2018. Kavanaugh will be appointed to the court.

Weird and will probably be successful, a supposed Democrat and Yale law professor with an Arab name vouching for Kavanaugh and for originalism, and saying if he doesn't get in "our party" will only get worse, sigh:
Can definitely see Susan Collins falling for it.

Sure, Matt - because a comedian fake-groping another comedienne 2 inches above her kevlar vest for a road snap is so beyond the pale our church-going instincts are just driven mad with wordlessness.
Actually I can't think of much that belittled & trivialized #MeToo as badly as that incident, including the poor offended girl dry-humping Robin Williams. I look at Alyssa Milano's teaser (literally) for the grossly sexist Insatiable and wonder why we think the other party that ran a woman whose least debatable qualification was "3rd runnerup for Miss Alaska" for VP & whose favorite musician is Dolly Parton at Branson would even seriously care. But Yglesias is a long-term hack, and so it continues.

Cool protest! Too bad Grassley and Hatch are so old and out of touch that they probably won't get the reference, even if it was splained to them by a staffer (which Whitlock is for Hatch.) Atwood's spookiness would be lost without the framing of the costume which most younger folks know:

Hee, note the hashtag, glad I didn't waste much time reading about the related GOP B-team shenigans. I noted a tweet by Ezra Klein, sounded like they spent the whole day working on the story, and stuff like a couple of NYTimes reporters retweeted than deleted, too much time spent on bullshit. Despite what is implied by many stories I have seen on the net about Ford not being willing to testify without some kind of long delay for a lengthy investigation, Ford is still in the process of negotiating to testify NEXT WEEK. Having only ruled out Monday. Yes, she's insisting on an investigation, but that is part of the negotiations. They are obviously talking about an investigation that would take a day or two, and that may just be a bargaining chip, and the description being used is "full investigation" with no further detail.
See this report @ NYTimes or Axios' rewrite of the same.

Just knew Trump was going to blow sooner or later. I actually think whoever kept him under control on this for a few days did an incredible job, I was truly amazed that whoever it was convinced him to keep his two cents out of it until now:
