I have many disagreements with McCain, but I have always appreciated his sense of decency--from denouncing the torture of terrorism suspects to rejecting his staff's advice to attack Obama over Reverend Wright. Other Republicans have denounced Trump's attacks and expressed sympathy to the Khan family, but only McCain has expressed heartfelt gratitude and admiration.
And now it's time, past time, for him to repudiate Donald Trump's presidential bid.
