Same story, more exciting headline and the whole doc @ NYTimes:
Michael Cohen Plans to Call Trump a ‘Con Man’ and a ‘Cheat’ in Congressional Testimony
By Nicholas Fandos & Maggie Haberman, 1 hr. ago
They also have a link to the 20-page Word Doc the media is getting this news from:
Read Mr. Cohen’s planned remarks.

I don't know if the NYT is taking a chit for looking at the planned remarks as I am a subscriber. If so, I see CNN also has the doc up and Alexi @ Axios put it up at Document Cloud here.

Consider Cohen was GOP finance co-chair until 6 months ago.

first conventional wisdom on Twitter seemed to focus on noting the GOP team attacks on Cohen's credibility and how ridiculous hypocritical they were. I.E., well if you don't like that, how come you don't mind it that Trump does it, this is Trump's guy, etc.
But now I am starting to notice more of this kind of thing:

Two impressed by AOC's performance:

I didn't see AOC, but at the Kavanaugh hearings, Kamala Harris had him on the ropes for unethically consulting with his buds at a law firm, but she couldn't put the knife in to nail him in precise terms, couldn't be brutal, so instead of him being disqualified for lying to Congress we got a drama over 35-year old attempted rape. These things have consequences. When they criticized AOC for dancing, her response went viral. When the shutdown happened, she played Where's Waldo/Mitch, knocking on Senate doors and closets. She doesn't waste her time in the spotlight.

Just watched AOC now, straight to the point, got a lot done in 4:20. Of course that's different than cross-examining a combative witness, but good to she she's ready for prime time.

This strikes me as overreach both by prosecutors and by media. How many American homeowners would think this something that should be prosecuted as criminal? Haven't told white lies to get a home equity loan? C'mon, it's backed by their home for chrissakes. They could lose their home if they default. If they don't mention every single instance of debt on the application, it's criminal? This is the kind of overreach that makes people very unsympathetic to the cops going after the rich guys:

It depends. There's a difference between a little white lie and fraud.
