The professor’s idea is a good one. Unfortunately, when his students leave the college, his black students they will find themselves facing name-calling black Republicans. For years black Republicans have labeled black Democrats as being trapped on the Democratic plantation. Black Democrats are not thought to have the independent thought process of black Republicans.

The professor’s goal is admirable, but he is fighting against a Conservative movement that makes it very hard to get any message across to black students. Thomas Sowell, for example, voted for Trump despite the absence of a coherent plan.

When they leave class, the actual Conservative movement looks pretty pathetic.

College students are forming impressions of Trump and Republicans based on the words coming from Trump and the Republicans. Here is a black Republican taking Trump to task for racist comments.

Once they leave the classroom, students are confronted by the real world racism coming from Conservative leadership.

The professor who wrote the op-ed basically agrees with you here
Once they leave the classroom, students are confronted by the real world racism coming from Conservative leadership.
Did you even really read it? Your whole list of links, while some are interesting, don't have much to do with his op-ed. His argument is with other conservatives, that they approach things the wrong way and don't acknowledge realities.

I read it, I just re-enforced his point. Conservatives themselves are destroying the intent of the class.
