Her section was never a hotbed of commenting, by the way, not controversial enough. And she didn't often write herself, it was a project for her grad students. The international policy section (forgot what it was called), filled with all of Josh's neo-liberal interventionist acquaintances, now that was a different matter. Even worse: Larry Johnson with his own little column. And then there was M.J. Rosenberg .....
Edit to add: wondering what happened to all those NOLA people...Katrina was a huge deal back then, the mass outrage went on for weeks and then months, everyone wanted to talk about it, seems like we've gotten used to such disasters, sorry to say.
