I could be wrong but for the last couple decades I've gotten the impression that the Beeb is looked upon over there a lot like PBS is here: conservative people kvetch it's overrun by liberal spin and the liberal people bitch they go out of their way to introduce invalid conservative spin....
The difference between them and us bears mentioning, though: they have a much longer tradition of having partisan press, without any pretense of objectivity. So the populace is used to partisan media spin, it's a tradition of like: centuries.

What kind of man is a father with children who is an apologist for the BBC?

What kind of man gets into a cliched over-the-top rant about a fairly conservative (in the behavioral sense) government media organization?

I thought PP was just a flaky Europhile but his unapologetic cover for the BBC is creeping me out.

Then you might also be creeped out to see how the UK version of Never Trumper Republicans think:

and I might be creeped out by how many saps like you fall for faux populist crap that is meant to distract you so that the new internationally powerful "populists" can make sure all the spoils go to their oligarch buddies...

Creepy crawly corruption and cowardice spreads to the art world. I need a long scalding shower just being this close to it.

Rudy's buddy Parnas got$1 million from the Russians, Manafort got a $2.4m Ukrainian payday as Trump's resigned campaign manager, Jared and Javanka made off with $350million last year, while Jared got $1.2billion loaned from the UAE cats who held Qatar hostage (and laundered a dodgy Da Vinci painting "sold" for a half a billion), and Trump had to pay $2mill for abusing his charity similar to his abuse of his "University" and steaks and bankrupt casinos, but you're getting all not and bothered over a government media org, or just need an excuse to pleasure yourself in a steam bath thinking about your oligarch buddies and their world domination tour?
