I wouldn't mess with the ILWU, I generally go to their union at the Port Of Seattle when it is election season to organize the Longshoremen.
According to the article:
A union demonstration and violent protest that has shut down the Port of Longview has spread to other port facilities, including Tacoma and Seattle.
Police in Longview say hundreds of longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday morning, vandalizing port property, damaging rail cars, and taking hostages.
This is the result of an ongoing labor dispute between the union and EGT Development that has built a multi-million dollar grain facility on the site of a terminal that used to operate using members of the International Longshoremen and Warehousemen's union.
Wow! Follow the link it is an interesting read.

They took some security officers hostage as well, I wonder why this isn't a national story?

Reading the comments as some kind of reflection from the community, this kind of action is the last thing unions and the labor movement need at this time.

I am sure they are they because of the talk show hosts at KKKVI, so I would take the comments with a grain of salt. I think the majority of people around here will support the ILWU. There is a more robust conversation at the Seattle Times.

Even if it's a story of union jobs vs. union jobs which is already being litigated in the courts? According to the Seattle Times article:
And even if they had a Federal restraining order against them before this happened? And even if they were aware the NLRB would be watching their conduct due to previous accusations?
