there's a couple other epitaphs available for variety purposes, I've been picking them out as I read stuff, inspired by the college admissions thread. Jay Rosen gave me Republican base in a permanent state of rage at "cognitive elites" which lead me to Thomas Edsall link. Edsall also provides Trump did not campaign against economic elites. Instead, he built a fire under animosity toward what has been called “the creative class” by Richard Florida, the demographer; the “plutonomy” by three analysts at Citigroup; as well as the “cosmopolitan class” by Robert Shiller, an economist at Yale.
