The Hill's pieces on topic reminds, this was actually amusing the way the Pope did this, this was his gift to Trump, with a stern face, none of the usual smiles, and certainly no gilded thingamabob souvenir that The Donald could show off to his friends:
They also round up the for and against
and talk about the related leak wars.

Best op-ed so far on the decision, because it's basically knowledgeable analysis over opinion and emotion:

The Paris pact collaboration will be stronger without the US much like the EU will be stronger without the UK. That is, these were the countries holding back the rest from making a more forceful agreement. But it's a strange new world with the US withdrawing its leadership from Paris and from Nato in two short weeks. Trump has singlehanded'y reshaped global politics. I wonder what his friend Kissinger thinks about it all. He hasn't given the US a new role on the global stage other than that of unstable drunk uncle: sure, uncle Sam may sober up temporarily next presidential term but his word can pretty much never be trusted again.

unstable drunk uncle:
Xactly along the lines of what I was thinking. Give everyone a few minutes to be upset with his decision, after that they will realize: good riddance to bad rubbish, maybe we'll let you come back when you have someone sane in charge

Thirty states and scores of companies said Thursday that they would press ahead with their climate policies and pursue lower greenhouse gas emissions, breaking sharply with President Trump’s decision to exit the historic Paris climate accord.....
