The bipartisan compromise from Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.) would provide states with greater flexibility under the Affordable Care Act in exchange for authorizing cost-sharing reduction payments known as CSRs for two years.

The Fix: Trump’s cynically bad justification for his controversial Obamacare move

Single- payer-promoting Dems should grab this one while it's hot, make him sign something?

Yes I know. But if you get him on this meme instead of one of his many other allover the map memes on health care, you get some of his fans okay with it. That would make for a big enough group to let a lot of past "repeal and replace" promisers in Congress from the last seven years off the hook.
This interchange was just a week ago: Chuck responds to Trump tweet to broker deal with Democrats for ‘a great’ health-care bill.
I stand by my suggestion: PEOPLE NEED TO PRESSURE THEIR CONGRESSPERSONS RIGHT NOW.
I am seeing a situation being setup where repeal and replace promisers can cover their ass by supporting Alexander/Murray. At this point, after all the damage and the threats Obamacare has gone through, that should be the goal of anyone who knew "how complicated it was". Save the recriminations for the future, stabilize now, give cover to enemies where you can, for now. What is the alternative? The alternative is really to let it be sabotaged and years of pain for a lot of people.

I am cautiously optimistic about this deal brokered by Patty Murray and Lamar Alexander. We have reason to hope millions of people won't face either huge increases in out-of-pocket health insurance premiums or going uninsured.
