Two or three weeks ago there were shots fired; an abandoned car discovered a block? away and a machine gun found in the car.

A felon was arrested of course.

This time someone hurled a smoke bomb over the fence!

Protesters were picketing in the area.

This is beginning to bother me; I mean the safety of the White House, the safety of the President and family and the current workings of the Secret Service.

charged with 17 criminal counts, including the attempted murder of President Barack Obama

In the following NYPost report on that, it says the judge ruled him competent to stand trial, even though he made a video pitch to Oprah Winfrey declaring himself to be "the modern day Jesus Christ."

It does play out that the suspect is nuts and acting on his own. Sure was loaded for bear however!

I get these conspiracy theories running in my head. I just guess that this President gets several times the death threats as our last President.

Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.

Actions to take:

Avoid the area;

Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;

Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and

If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.
