I expect her to run for the state house again in Miami as a Democrat. The person that is running for House in FL-19 is Alice Freeman and she is a former Republican switched to Democrat for the same reason. There is plenty of enthusiasm with the Florida Democrats.
Former state Rep. Ana Rivas Logan is leaving the Republican Party, she announced Monday.
She plans to register as a Democrat, she said.
"The GOP of today is not the party I joined," said Rivas Logan, who also served on the Miami-Dade School Board. "It's not the party of my parents. It's a party that has been radicalized and held hostage by a group of extremists."

The lower chamber in the Florida State House is in play. Even if the GOP hangs on they will lose their super majority. I expect Florida to be in the hands of the Democrats after the 2016 election. The trends in the demographics is quickly moving that way. Medical marijuana is going on the ballot 2014 in Florida. These yahoos that refused Medicaid expansion is going to regret their move just like they did on voter repression. The Dream Defenders are in the college towns and urban areas beating on doors to register voters. Most of the jobs in Florida is minimum wage people need raises also as well as health care. They know if they go to polls they will get what they need. This also reflects over a decade of grass roots effort in bringing back the Democrat voter.
Of coarse the Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot all over the place is helping too.
