There is an interesting case out of Santa Ana this month where police officers were allegedly caught on camera wolfing down pot products in a raid on a medical marijuana dispensary. The officer reportedly disabled all but one of the security cameras.

All you can do is laugh unless maybe you are one of the thousands doing time for a little pot. m

True to form, the police union supports keeping bad cops on the force by encouraging the lawsuit. Has a police union ever done anything to get bad cops off the street?

That is part of the job of any union. If any criticism of unions defending their members is valid it would also be valid to say that a defense lawyer is doing something that is wrong in principle.

The unions go out of their way to demonize critics, so they gain little sympathy. When you have rank and file members of the NYPD turning their backs on the Mayor and a union head calling the Mayor a murderer, they have crossed the line.
