"The Americans loved our stories and we make money from them," he boasts, making sure I see the designer watch he's fiddling with. "Who cares if they are true or false? Goran...is one of scores, or probably hundreds of Macedonian teenagers...in the small city of Veles which churned out fake pro-Trump news during the US election campaign." If Trump can scam them, why not Macedonians?

Following are the two comments that I deleted above.
[1] Irony alert!
[2] Duh, duh, double irony. I looked for a clue in the heading but missed the last line. Thanks, NCD.
The joke is on me. The first reply was after reading and seeing the obvious fact that the story about fake news was fake news but not seeing any indication in the heading or elsewhere indicating that it is satire. It seemed to be presented as "real" news. The second was after reading again and seeing the clear declaration in the last sentence which I had missed before. I had a laugh at my self since I sometimes believe that people have quickly scanned some submissions only looking for something, anything, to use to discredit them and in doing so completely miss the point actually being expressed.
I initially deleted my comments to give everyone a chance to read the article before seeing my comments that might be somewhat of a spoiler.
