"The suspected nerve agent attack upon former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal, which also affected his daughter in the English city of Salisbury last Sunday, has given rise to too much speculation, too much hysteria, and too little analysis or insight. It has provided ammunition for the Russophobic Western media to make accusations that it was another example of Russia in general and Vladimir Putin in particular disposing of a supposed enemy of the Kremlin."
Consortium News has all the appearance of an FSB disinformation asset.

Can’t wait to see their article on the electric grid hack.
Trump looks like a chump for playing nice with the Russians.

Commiesortof News lead page is all about "hysterical Russophobia", they love the GOP take on election.
The Russians want in on the investigation so they can blow more smoke....on the cause of near death, on the chemical, (say UK dossier guy Steele did it with FBI help), declare Putin wouldn't do it because of bad PR......etc

I think his first line describes a basic tenet of Consortium News' journalism:
Applying the principle of cui bono – who benefits?
And that along with that, a turned-on-it's-head belief in American Exceptionalism, where the American government or the American-backed international corporations mostly have everything in the world under their control but are lying about what they are doing. So then it's a simple matter to go cherry picking for "proof" ot this or that particular where they benefit to "prove" this, and leave out anything contrary.
It's always a matter of "lying eyes", where you can't trust empiricals, as they are supposedly often manufactured, i.e., planted evidence, false flags, etc.
Also, rarely any small conspiracies, only big all-encompassing ones.

Excellent points. If you believe America is the origin of all evil, cuz Mossagdeh, The Maine etc, then any crime that deflects from that conviction is obviously propaganda or even more likely, false flag.
And if the crime is monstrously heinous, like shooting down a civilian aircraft with a powerful missile, there is no doubt, must be CIA.
