Donald Trump told Theresa May she should sue the EU rather than negotiate over Brexit, she has told the BBC.
The US president said on Friday at a joint press conference he had given her a suggestion - but she had found it too "brutal".
Asked by the BBC's Andrew Marr what it was he had said, she replied: "He told me I should sue the EU - not go into negotiations."

What a great bit of news to pick up, NCD. Describes Trump in a nutshell. The "Sue!" attitude is probably the one part of "The Art of the Deal" that came from Trump's core rather than being extrapolated from nonsense by Tony Schwartz.
All kayfabe all of the time. "Wacky upstart causing chaos" is what he does and what he admires? Throw a bomb and let others work on the new mess. (The opposite of the executive manager of "The Apprentice" that he played as an actor that some may have voted for.)
Think of it going way back: how someone like Jesse Jackson running for president appealed to him, to now Boris Johnson. He admires Putin and Kim-Jong Un not for their authoritarian management skills but because you never know what they are up to? Despises the establishment faces of either U.S. party. Hates "the rules" of nitpickers like Jeff Sessions.
For him, it's like the U.S. president role is "king of the world" ala a boy king in the movies where the child monarch says something wacky and all the underlings scramble to execute it? I suspect this is what Rex Tillerson saw when he used "moron" and McMaster when he used "idiot" with "the brain of a kindergartner".
I think of how people who have met him in person before the presidential run say he can be very charming one on one. He sidles up to someone he sees as having power or potential and loves sharing ideas on how to get wacky. He basically tried to transact with Teresa May like he did with Stormy Daniels or the journalists on the "Pussy" tape or so many times recounted on the radio with Howard Stern. Hey did you ever think of doing this wacky thing? It would be yuge! Big ratings! An orderly world not for him, upset the status quo however you can. Agitator, and more accurately: troll.

The matter of jurisdiction is a spot of bother. Even Bolton knows you shouldn't start a legal proceeding in a polity you are actively trying to disband.
Maybe it is Judge Judy all the way down.

Trump's inner child likes the Judge Judy way of doing things and that's the way it's gonna stay because he's now the king of the world.
What your comment actually makes me see is an image of John Bolton being driven stark raving mad. A Machiavellian or a Straussian whisperer is no match for a Trump child, the methods just don't apply.

Yes. Bolton wants an aggressive version of the Bush Doctrine where the U.S. maintains its influence over other nations without significant involvement with international bodies.
Trump is like, international bodies? They are so hot.

Trump likes Kim more than Bolton because Kim calls Trump Your Excellency Mr. President.
May should have filled the recently discovered poison jar with chocolate cookies, gift wrapped it, and told Trump to wait..... and share the goodies with Putie. That's trolling KGB style!

Yeah those International Bodies, all in all, they've been a fun bunch to hang around with. When this is all done, he's probably thinking of inviting them all to a reminiscing bash at Mar a Lago. It'll be yuge. Maybe military parades, ceremonial sword dances....Pootie, Bebe, Manu, Big Daddy Xi, Rocketman, Trudope, Suzie Sour Kraut, good buddy Salman, Duterte, Erdie, won't forget my new pal Make-Mexico-Great-Again Juan ALL THE BEST TOP NOTCH PEOPLE. ONLY HIGH I.Q. QUALITY PEOPLE...

Well of course, the whole Murdoch crew. (And Sean Hannity can watch, not a high quality person, but deserves something for being a very loyal fan.)

Writer today at NYMag.com in this piece made a "light bub!" point for me about simplistic Trumpthink on the world: Where the EU is our enemy (as it had made a union like ours, making the U.S. less of the biggest yugest in the world that could play bully because of that.) And the EU is also Putin's enemy. So for him it's always good to explore the "enemy of my enemy could be my friend" thing:
Trump Says European Union Is America’s Biggest ‘Foe’
The president's preparations to agree with Putin about stuff have clearly gone well.

I think Danner's representation is incorrect. Trump's business life has been all about cutting straight across the board of anybody's Risk game. Whenever he says he has got something covered, that means you have already been thrown in the dumpster. Whatever Michael Cohen was to Trump is what Trump is to whoever lets him still ride in a SUV.
There he is, pulling up in front of the shuttered entrance to another empty casino to pay his respects to the fallen. What other experience can compete?
