The fault lies not in our stars, but in ourselves.
If Obama has fallen short, it is only due to what hopes and unreal aspirations of "CHANGE" and "HOPE" we assigned to this noble prince.

Though I see him as a very consequential and pivotal leader, and agree with his views, he cannot and must not do all things. We did not elect a Dictator.

Congress has totally become absent from reality, has wasted precious time in political mudslinging and delay, and cares only the volume of their own voices. If it profited them to turn on Obama, they would be by sundown. They are much more at fault as leaders and representatives of Americans in failing people like you and me than Obama. On the contrary, Obama has made things better, and set us down a better path.

He has, in my mind, restored my faith in our country. Besides the obvious ones like about someone of his race achieving the highest office, or about some particular policy changes I support--it is his sheer demonstration of intelligence, coolness under pressure, and willingness to get things right, even if it means dumping your long held plans for someone else's--that makes me feel good about our country. He is willing to learn and grow in this office. Stubborness killed Bush. Not this one. Obama is the type that will say, "Want me to move on this--create a situation where I must respond to it. " In other words, "Make me do it."

That is smart politically, but it is also just good strategy if you want something done. The easiest way to change the order of things is to be responding to change--instead of insisting on.

If he has failed, it is because those issues we voted for, that we assigned on him--we forgot that it is our duty to force him to do it. Health Care would pass if it had 70% of constituents ringing Congressmen's ears off the hook. Don't Ask, Don't Tell is finally moving forward. Why? Not because Obama felt it necessary to stall a year--but because HE FELT PRESSURE, overwhelming pressure--from the people who put him there. He felt safety in our overwhelming numbers. It is our duty to help HIM, whenever necessary--to fulfill our of our aspirations we saw.

Otherwise he is a docked yacht, a riderless horse, a hammer laying on a table.

We want him to do all this stuff for us. And, take all the hits, make all the counter-arguments, and change all the hearts. If this were chess, would he win with no pawns, no knights, no bishops? If we want a health care bill, WE have to demand one. WE have to force the issue. It doesn't just happen because he was elected President. All of our dreams are not going to just come true now.
