    THE CASE FOR THE DEFENSE

One day, after meandering the forest to find scrub wood from its plentiful floor, I looked down and espied a small toad clinging for life next to a tree.  It was the last month of winter and I could hear the amphibian crying:

I am cold, I am so cold.

I reached down and picked up the little toad and took it home.  I build a nice fire in my fire place and put the toad, not too close and not to far away from the blaze.

I retired and in the middle of the night I heard a sound.

I am cold, I am so cold.

I came out of my bedroom and there was the little toad shivering and crying.

I then brought the little creature into my bed and held it close.

And in the morning, I awoke, and lying next to me was a beautiful girl.

AND THAT YOUR HONOR IS THE CASE FOR THE DEFENSE.

What an age we live in.

Republican pundits are on cable news every day admitting the sins of management with regard to the the mortgage/financial market failure.  They admit that management lied to purchasers of their financial 'packages'.  They admit that theft occurred.  They admit that bonuses were indefensibly taken by management.  They even feel that some criminal proceedings should be brought against some of the players.  That 'some of the monies' should be returned.

Then they go on to talk about legislation that 'enabled' this behavior was passed by Congress over the last ten years or so.  (That way they can blame Clinton and some Democrats)Therefore all these problems can be laid at the doors of Congress, and by implication Clinton.

The people making this 'argument' are saying that of course good solid Christian Republicans are going to lie, cheat and steal.  Steal every dime they can get ahold of.

But these people are not asking that the primary investigatory arm of the SEC  be increased one hundred fold and that the latest computer technology be installed to monitor future problems.

And these people are the same people who have railed against unnecessary regulation of the markets by the Federal Government.

Trying to follow this faulty rhetoric is extremely difficult.

These devils will not even cite w or his administration or his hand in all of this.

And they want all tax deductions by way of a stimulus plan.

This all brings me back five or six years when Tucker Carlson would have some liberal on his show whining about Haliburton, no bid contracts and its relationship to the DOD and the VP.
Tucker would respond:  Is that all you got?  Hahahahahahahahahahaahah!!!!!!

Republican businessmen will lie, cheat and steal everything you have if you do not watch them every single minute.

But they need more tax incentives so that they can steal even more.

And they need a break from over regulation by the Federal Government so that our economy can grow.

Am I being repetitive?  Yeah. But so are they on cable news and in the WSJ.

AND THAT YOUR HONOR IS THE CASE FOR THE DEFENSE.
