The very ink in which history is written is merely fluid prejudice.
                                                                              Pudd'n Head Wilson

Since leaving the Oval Office, President Bush has given virtually no interviews or public speeches about his presidency," Crown said in a statement. "Instead, he has spent almost every day writing Decision Points."

A publishing industry source said Bush had completed a first draft and was editing the manuscript at his office in Dallas. A former White House speechwriter, Chris Michel, is helping. The source was unsure whether Bush had compared notes with his wife, Laura Bush, whose memoir comes out 4 May.

Bush was known for not acknowledging errors, but Crown said he "writes honestly and directly about his flaws and mistakes, as well as his historic achievements."

Why must I do a book? Because Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning? (10)

And the answer is inevitably no. Why is that? It is our education systems that are not working - as yesterday's positive report card shows, childrens do learn when standards are high and results are measured. (9)

I was not always so politically motivated as it were but I saw what was going on out there and made a promise;  I promised you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here. (50) And I based my entire political career on this promise. But I had to look around and find out who exactly backed me out there in this great wide nation and I found them immediately.

As I told my backers one day: This is an impressive crowd -- the haves and the have mores. Some people call you the elite -- I call you my base. (29) And it was difficult if not impossible to find something as base as these people. Lots of money and power and most of them liked Daddy too.

Well guess what? Once I got going, they could not stop me. They misunderestimated me (31) That's right, they misunderestimated me and that is how I won.

And once I won the day, I knew what I was going to do. If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator (8)

Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we. (4)

And that is why I wanted to be resourceful as all heck  And it turns out that my peeps had been planning to get that assassin Sadaam as soon as I took the oath. We're goin into Iraq, find a way is what I told those nominations the first time I met them. Man those lists put together by Dicky C were really complicated, but I got the best of the bestest. That's for sure. http://thinkprogress.org/iraq-timeline/

This foreign policy stuff is a little frustrating.(35) But it is a dirty dirty job and somebody has to do it and I am not just talking about those pretend soldiers who spend a week end a month at their local National Guard base.

You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror.(44) But I think I did. Now it is true that we did not find any WMD's (that means really mean types of weapons)

There were people who would not have wanted to go into Iraq because they thought we might lose soldiers; good people would die as we took down tyrants and I told them: Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties(41)

Now I did tell Congress that The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.(21) But those were the facts I did not have at the time. I mean if I had known that we did not have the facts that I knew we did, I would not have said this at the time. I mean Cheney told me that we did have the facts that we did not have at the time but he must have known that we did not have these facts at the time. Understand? Well it is difficult to understand sometimes.

I wish you'd have given me this written question ahead of time so I could plan for it...I'm sure something will pop into my head here in the midst of this press conference, with all the pressure of trying to come up with answer, but it hadn't yet...I don't want to sound like I have made no mistakes. I'm confident I have. I just haven't -- you just put me under the spot here, and maybe I'm not as quick on my feet as I should be in coming up with one.(24) It is hard to remember things when you are asked to remember something. Now in this book I am not being asked anything so I can remember whatever the hell I want to remember. Hehheh!! Understand?

People started questioning my every movement, all the time. And I was a healthy guy with jogging and stuff and I never really had problems with my movements. hehheheh

Well, I'm the commander -- see, I don't need to explain -- I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president.(42) And that is why I will try not to explain anything to clearly all at once.

Now things did turn kind of sour in Iraq and neither Cheney nor Rummy nor the generals could tell me exactly why. I think I was unprepared for war (40) I mean I sure the hell wanted one. I watched as Reagan took Grenada in about three hours. I watched daddy conquer Iraq in less than a week. But after we conquered the entire nation of Iraq thee was this insurgency and the only response I could make when I was confronted with this fact was:  My answer is bring them on.(1)

People were saying that we should not even be there and I told them The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq were the ones who attacked us in America on September the 11th  (43)

There is a time in a man's life when he must put his ass down and take a stand: I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe -- I believe what I believe is right.(27) After all I am the  decider.

It got to the point where most of the folks on tv and in the three page memos I read every morning complained I had been wrong. Wrong about a lot of things but mostly about I Iraq and I came to a conclusion: I will not withdraw, even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me.(39)

See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.(26)"

And I knew it was time to enlist the help of the American People, you know those low-lifes who elected me People say, how can I help on this war against terror? How can I fight evil? You can do so by mentoring a child; by going into a shut-in's house and say I love you.(26)

So I guess it is time to wrap this up with one of my favorite adages:

"There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on --shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.

( All of these quotes are true and exact and I stole them from this great site that has all of the links including the ones I skipped. I have used all of these quotes in the past from other sources and these can be found somewhere in my 500 blogs on this site. But this link made things so much easier. The number given is the number given at the site. http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/bushquotes/a/dumbbushquotes.htm)

I did find this gem this morning that I cannot help but ad as a post script here:

Dr. David Duke, former Klan leader, is here to explain it all for you in his new YouTube message:

Duke: Tea Party people are called racist because the vast majority wants to stop the massive non-European immigration that will turn America into a crumbling tower of Babel. Most Tea Partiers believe that we in America have the right to preserve our heritage, language, and culture, just as every nation has that human right. The vast majority of Tea Party activists oppose affirmative action and diversity, which are nothing more than programs of racist discrimination against white people. The vast majority of Tea Party enthusiasts despise Hollywood and the mass media.

You know, the unelected media bosses have far more power than any senator or congressman, and are far more alien to America than the British were at the time of the American Revolution. At least the British were of our own, Christian cultural heritage, while the non-Christian ethno-religious minority who dominates Hollywood sees itself as very distinct from the 98 percent of the rest of us.

Tea Party activists are true populists who see the powers that control international finance and the Federal Reserve as the biggest threats to American prosperity and freedom.

...... The Tea Party movement is made up of American people who have watched in silent anger while the nation of our forefathers has been destroyed. The Tea Party movement, as the original Tea Party, is about preserving our heritage and our freedom.
