My Anti-Celebrity Ad

The truth is, I really don't know how Obama should respond, if at all, to McCain's "celebrity" charge. But I offer this as one possible answer. Make up your own appropriate visuals.

VOICE 1: John McCain calling Barack Obama a celebrity? That's rich. Obama never hosted Saturday Night Live or acted in TV shows and movies.

VOICE 2: You mean McCain did?

VOICE 1: Yes, McCain likes a star on his door, alright. Over half a million dollars was charged to his credit card in just one month — uh, you know his wife owns a jet, don't you? Talk about lifestyles of the rich and famous.

VOICE 2: But Obama is extremely popular. Come on, those crowds? Doesn't that show he's a celebrity?

VOICE 1: No, it shows Obama can actually lead. And that Americans want real change, not more of the same old Washington song and dance.

VOICE 2: Hmm. So there is a difference between being a celebrity and winning popular support for your plans. Doesn't John McCain know that?
