I was pondering the issue of scandal recently. MSM  or the powers that be (usually both) latch onto something that has so little bearing upon the real issues of the day; that have so little bearing upon every day lives that a real thinker has to just shake his head and say the words out loud:

                                                     ECCE HOMO

I despised Richard Nixon. Well before Joe McCarthy Ticky Dicky was red baiting. He was the master at this  tactic. Toting around a typewriter that now proves communists were attempting to destroy truth, justice and the American Way.

And it was fruitful undertaking by this nobody Congressman. He is rewarded with the Vice Presidency. Teamed up with a man who won WWII while he was playing poker on some ship.  And his mentor not only won WWII but one of his means of accomplishing this feat was in the formation of personal bonds with the Commie Ruskies.

Dick Nixon becomes President after most of us thought he was lost to some footnote in history. He inherits a frickin war that has got to be the biggest waste of time, money, blood, sweat, tears and human resources in our history; all because of the Red Menace. Of course one of the main reasons he was elected as Commander-in-Chief was because he promised the American People that he had a secret plan to get us out of the war which was a goddmanable lie of the first order.

Nixon listens to his military advisors; expands the war into other territories without Congressional approval. But so what? He is Commander-in-Chief no matter what Chomsky thought.

And of course, with his Jewish Dr. Strangelove, orders the assassination of Allende--which I actually saw Kissinger brag about on CSPAN within the last couple years. Ha Chutzpah!

I remember those years and refuse to provide links because it is just too damn painful to think about sometimes. In the end, after Bush, Nixon seems like quite the reasonable chap. Ha

But what does the man in? Was it mayhem or murder or bribery or extortion--all of which he would certainly be found guilty? No, he is taken down because his generation of Roves wants to bug the Democratic Headquarters. It meant nothing even if the rogue rovers had succeeded. The left wing boomer generation was hardly ready to take power and Nixon's reelection was a foregone conclusion.

And what about those days when Delay and Newt and Frisk and the most evil of evils involved themselves in bribery, extortion, white slavery, and continuous corporate dick sucking? Well they impeach Wild Bill for getting his dick sucked by a pretty little thing in the oval office. And they fail because they cannot find a Speaker who is not cheating on his wife.

And Bush II? The man lied every single time he ever opened his mouth claiming that:

If elected he would govern by consulting leaders of both parties.

He would govern as a conservative with a conscience.

He would work for a balanced budget.

He would keep America away from foreign entanglements

And he said all these things and more knowing, planning and scheming to:

TAKE US INTO WAR WITH SADAAM HUSSEIN!!

And after he gets into office his administration and his party:

Took us into war in Iraq; acting as if 9/11/01 had something to do with it.

Lied continually about the progress in Iraq.

Authored legislation to dilute almost all of our Constitutional guarantees.

Authored legislation to proved tax cuts to the very richest in America while running up a deficit that merely represented a transfer of wealth to the economic oligarchy that owns this country.

Appointed foxes to oversee the henhouse; put the most duplicitous and felonious corporate pigs in charge of ALL OUR REGULATORY BODIES so that corporations could  further destroy our environment, so that minorities would no longer be protected by civil rights legislation on the books, so that Wall Street could lie, cheat and steal all the live long day with absolutely no fear of repercussion, so that our National Parks would be raped on a continual basis, so that bribed triple-dipping generals could go out on the MSM perpetrating continual lies about the status of the Iraq War, so that the administrations own leaders would benefit their own companies with hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars and so that records of all these goings on would remain out of the sight of the American People. And then these same people would claim executive privilege to cover their asses in any court actions; civil or criminal.

EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE INDEED!!!

So what was the only real scandal that Congress and MSM focused on? The firing of DA's in w bush's second term. If a President of the United States cannot fire all his DA's in the second term and appoint new ones, what the hell can he do? All these felonies committed and weeks of testimony surround nothingness.

The point here is that we never know what scandal is going to surface. There is never any rhyme or reason to these matters; after all the most insignificant piece of brush can cause the most devastating of forest fires.

So what great scandal is going to find itself into the most precious bodily functions of this Administration?

Well there is an asshole by the name if Issa (what the fuck kind of name is that anyway?) And this fellow is attempting to blow anything into a major scandal that he can get his petty hands upon.

• Did the White House have prior knowledge of the lawsuit filed last week by the SEC against Goldman Sachs, Issa wants to know. He noted in a letter to SEC chair Mary Schapiro that the agency's action "neatly coincided" with the White House's push for financial reform -- currently its top political goal. There's no evidence of co-ordination, but it's hard to blame Issa for jumping on that one. He may have gone too far, though, when he cited a Google ad buy made by the DNC as part of the conspiracy. The ad, which slammed "Wall Street greed" and touted financial reform, was seen by people who searched the terms "Goldman Sachs" and "SEC." But the DNC quickly said it hadn't bought the ad until hours after the lawsuit was made public -- and Google confirmed that was the case.

• Did the administration condition its bailout of the auto industry on their support for tougher fuel economy standards? Just yesterday, Issa fired off another letter, this one to nine auto CEOs suggesting that the Obama-ites may have used "leverage created by the possibility of a taxpayer bailout" to get the automakers to go along with tougher standards.

• And another alleged quid pro quo: Did the White House offer an administration job to Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA) if he'd get out of the Pennsylvania Senate race, as Sestak has claimed? Now, I know as much about financial markets as Pat Robertson knows about Astronomy or Geology. But I really do not trust Geitner or many of the individuals who have been appointed to right the wrongs of the previous administration. I mean all these people worked for the corporations that run this country's economy. They all, that is all of these individuals have made millions from the corporations they are supposed to supervise.

This is the real scandal to me as far as this Administration. Therefore it will have nothing to do with any Congressional inquiry.

Even if the repub pricks take over both houses of Congress.

No, the scandal will involve some bit of nothingness that will only underline the hypocrisy of the accuser.

I mean, are you telling me that it is scandalous for a President of the United States to appoint someone to a position in his Administration in order to get that person out of some political race? WHAT IN THE HELL IS ISSA TALKING ABOUT?

In point of fact, it will be something totally irrelevant to our lives, to our laws and to our national liturgy.

The muddled Tea Party version of history is more than wrong and fraudulent. It's offensive. Calling Obama a tyrant, a communist, or a fascist is deeply offensive to all the real victims of tyranny, the real victims of communism and fascism. The tens of millions murdered. Utah is the only state to keep the firing squad on the books as a method of execution; typically, it uses lethal injection but prisoners are given a choice. Gardner killed a lawyer 25 years ago during a shootout.
