The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

    Ike shows up in Bonn.

And the Germans (whom Ike had hit pretty badly just a few years before) all cheer Ike and America.

There was this time that JFK showed up in West Berlin:

His Deutch was not that gooooooood?

But hundreds of thousands of West Germans showed up to greet Our President, to cheer our President and to cheer the good ole US of A.

This was only 17 years from the end of the ETO and WWII in Europe.

    But there they were.

Then there was this Obama Phenomena.

And in 2008, appearing only as a candidate, hundreds of thousands Germans appeared just hoping for a chance to glance this person.

    And Obama delivered.

    And the Germans cheered.

And the Germans were filled with hope for a brand new world.

And now we find our current dictator (hopeful) appearing in London.

And hundreds of thousands of people protest.

    Lest we forget;

60 million Americans voted for this psycho, this sociopath, this uneducated moron.

And what will be the effect on the European psyche when we send a clown to represent us.

A tweeter instead of a orator.

An abject liar instead of a leader who instills hope for the masses.

A cartoon image instead of a person with some semblance of humanity now appears as our leader; to the rest of the world.

This baby trump thing just got to me.

In any other era, Europeans could not wait to see our leader.

Now those same folks cannot wait to see this idiot fall.

There was a time when the folks on the other side of the pond felt that we (that is US) would always stand by them and they would always stand by us.

    the end

“We don’t want other leaders and other countries laughing at us any more. And they won’t be. They won’t be.”

    Well that clarifies it!
