It is a start but they are going to have to enforce it. Unlicensed workers are common in the industry and mostly from Asia. These are the shops that are guilty of wage theft. Independent salon owners have been after states to police these operations because it hurts the full service salons. They can't compete with $20 pedicures and acrylic nails.
The FDA has to be involved and banned some of these products that contain harmful chemicals. It is going to take the Federal Gov. to clean up the industry.
Consumers need to understand that acrylic nails are attached with harmful chemicals.
