I knew when I read it that they letter was not written by a physician, but a doctor went through item by item and leaves no doubt. It is obviously a forgery, with a dead man and the top, a non-functioning link, and the third word of the letter is a typo:

Rachel had a segment on this last night. Harold is a gastroenterologist but he uses the title FACG. He has not been a member of the organization since 1995. The American College of Gastroenterology says that give Dr. Bernstein has not been a fellow (member) since 1995, they would expect him to stop using the title. Fellowship means that the doctor met the criteria including passing subspecialty testing to join the organization. There is an annual fee to continue membership. Technically, Bornstein should not use FACG. Clinically, he is a board certified gastroenterologist. To continue medical practice, he would need to document that he has done 20-25 hours of educational work over the past year. This can be done by attending meetings, or even taking online exams from respected medical journals. Dr. Bornstein sees no reason to pay the college for membership.

If you remember, Rand Paul is an ophthalmologist who formed his own medical organization because he did not trust the medical college used by most ophthalmologists.
Edit to add:
When most physicians say that your test was positive, it generally means that the result was abnormal.
A poisitive mammogram suggests cancer
A positive heart catheterization means blocked vessels
Trump having positive results from testing, in other settings would mean that Trump was in trouble.

Did you actually read the critique the doctor made? There were multiple instances that show that the author of this letter is not someone familiar with medical vocabulary at all. It is more than just the word "positive" about the tests. It is what a 7th grader might write, trying to produce a bogus medical excuse for a couple of days playing hooky.
The top of the missive has a letterhead that no physician would every use, and included a person who has been dead for 10 years. The first four words are:
"To Whom My Concern,"
Remember, this is supposedly written to declare that Trump is physically fit to be President of the United States; a letter that would be seen and read by many, and should not contain typos. The lingo is all wrong; everything about it is all wrong.
This should get some real attention because it is a fraud.

Staffers from The Rachel Maddow Show spoke with Dr. Bornstein about his credentials. I assumed that the authorship of the letter had already been confirmed by the staff. I surmised that Bornstein was a crackpot just like the Cardiologist who cared for the late Michael Jackson.

This is off topic but does address Trumps mental heath
The Governor of Louisiana suggested Obama not come to the state because first responders would have to divert resources to his protection. The Governor also said that Trump should not come just for a photo-op. So who shows up? Both Trump and Pence come for a photo-op.

This is gastroenterologist Dr. Harold Bornstein M.D.
I could believe that he wrote the letter
by rmrd0000 on Fri, 08/19/2016 - 9:01pm
I don't care how messed up he is, no doctor wrote that letter. But regardless: is this really Donald Trump's physician for the last 30 - plus years? Really?

Here is a better picture

Why did the Donald have need of gastroenterologists for decades? Where they merely serving as internists, or was a chronic gastrointestinal illness at the core?

It was an 80's thing - "My Cousin, My Gastro-enterologist" - clever book but a bit too clever.

I thought the bit about never having hip, knee or orthopedic surgery was bizarre. He presumably never had a lobotomy, electroshock, a stroke, dementia, autism, encephalitis, or a myriad of other conditions much more important to a voting public than whether he can do a golf swing. An why does a gastro-enterologist certify bone conditions anyway? Re: cancer we can only hope. A low PSA score only relates to colon cancer AFAIK, not say stomach cancer, and an undetected tumor can appear pretty damn quick despite previously normal checkups, even for someone who doesnt drink or smoke, along with a variety of other conditions including Zika, malaria, chemical or asbestos poisoning, etc. Preaumably living in Manhattan makes his lungs worse than living in Montana, and more susceptible to carwreck that can change whatever status he has fast. Many people become intolerant to certain foods as they get older - there's not much pre-test to that.

You know they had some pretend Cable Doc espouse some belief about Hillary's brain...hahahah
But I am sure that T-Rump either had a lobotomy or really needs one. hahahah

I am honored, DDay! And I will happily share the glory with the commenters as well.
But seriously, I do wonder why this obviously fake letter is not getting scrutiny. It is yet another example of Trumps dishonesty but even more, it opens the door to questioning what he must be hiding about his health. Surely he has an actual doctor, who could write a professional letter about the state of his health. Why didn't he do that?

The media is focused on the post-election story. They think Trump has given up on the Presidency and will build a media empire with the aid of the Breitbart site and Roger Ailee. The aim is supposedly for the new outlet to veer to the right of FoxNews.

The media is not focused on the content of Trump's campaign. They are focused on future competition.
