Germany said on Tuesday it will deport two men arrested on suspicion of planning a militant attack, despite the fact that they were both born in the country to foreign parents.
This is the first time in Germany's history that such a decision has been taken, a spokesman for the state of Lower Saxony interior ministry told German news agency DPA.
The country, like many European states, has historically subscribed to the idea of "jus sanguinis" - citizenship is determined by the nationalities of one or both parents and not by one's place of birth [....]

A reminder that our current president's grandfather lost his German citizenship by leaving the country under false pretences to dodge the draft. Sad. For us.
