Apparently the 'energizing' impact, and the $1250 (minus $ of a Glock), was deemed more than 'worth it' by the local gun happy Republicans, as they deal another blow to the reputation of tourist dependent Arizona:
TUCSON - The Republican Party in the county where a deadly Arizona shooting rampage took place drew criticism for raffling a handgun for a get-out-the-vote fundraiser. But Pima County Republican Party officials said they sold all 125 of the $10 tickets available for the Glock 23....Mike Ebert, a member of the GOP executive committee, said he was happy to see the publicity and the publicity energized the party's base.... (Jared Loughner used a Glock to shoot 19 people in Tucson early this year, 6 of whom died)
