I never saw this coming.
Now Hannity appears to be leaving FOX or at least giving up his prime time slot there to some beautiful blonde who hates Black folks and Hispanics too. hahahahah
Oh and Hannity is losing it all at Cumulus. hahahahahahah
I think the latest gives rusho the new k, but Hannity's situation looks really, really bad. hahahahah
And Michael Savage, another knight of the right wing pricks is claiming that he gets all of Hannity's radio slots. hahahahaha
I love it when a plan comes untogether and all the fascist pricks fight with each other.
But this return of Ed? I never saw it coming and Matthews has been veering to the left for six or seven years.
I watched Matthews today co-anchoring? (is that the word?) today at like noon?
I like Ed.
It looks like Ed takes the 5pm slot and Chris keeps the 7pm slot (ET).
We need liberals who are really really proud to be liberals.
But I cannot believe this switch does not cause Matthews bowel problems.
Just my age I suppose.
the end.

Right Wing Talk radio is in trouble. They have lost half their listners in the past year accross the country even in the red states. Many of the small stations have been switching to sports radio because they can get advertisers for it and there is a market bigger then political crazies. There is a lot of local sporting events that they can cover and broadcast at low cost that also brings in a younger listener. Flush Rush campaign this past year and half has crippled RWtalk. When they started that I didn't think it would have much impact long term. But it did as the economy didn't grow the advertisers didn't want to lose what customers they had. The country is moving on and hate filled talk is a looser. Kos has a diary up with the stats on the major radio stations that carry Rush. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/08/19/1232419/-Wingnut-media-site-claims-dramatic-drop-in-wingnut-radio-ratings

The spouse often listens to sports talk radio while working-I have no idea which--and claims they usually discuss other news of the day as well. I get the impression from him that they bloviate on a lot of the hot news topics, but do so in the manner of "the opinion of just another guy," and then a second or third "just another guy" giving his two cents, without the political agenda attached of conservative, or even liberal, radio or TV.
It is interesting along these lines, that Al Jazeera America claims it is going to go Ted-Turner-style CNN, mostly hard news with little opining, that it thinks it can profit doing that where others have given up long ago. That's quite different from Arabic Al Jazeera TV, which really is well known for quite a bit of selling of inflammatory opinion talk shows.

When I was working I had to suffer through Rush and his insults. I was the only female so it didn't matter if I went home with a head ache every night. Sports radio format is not out to offend anyone with hate talk. People like the "some dude" approach.

There is a demand for 24 hour news in this country. They should do well with it because people lives keep them from watching traditional news shows. When they get a chance they turn on the news and watch it for a while, then go about their business.
