I saw lots of right wingers gleefully pick on this on Twitter last night, so they do think it has legs. Don't know whether they are right or not. My gut instinct is that it hurts Harris more than Warren, because she already has some taint of flip-flopping/lying prosecutor, the lawyer advocacy thing where the job is not to tell the whole truth but only your side.

Probably some more precise framing could have made this much better & actually inspired to take on the issue of police abuse of blacks & people in general. The guy the other day who *called the police for help* and they put him in an uncomfortable lying position until he self-asphyxiates while they're making jokes - who gives them the fucking right? Why aren't 99% of police across the US (presumably the non-deplorables) outraged and protesting, as it also makes their job harder, creates distrust, antagonism...?
