NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has identified new markings on the surface of the Red Planet that are believed to be related to ESA’s ExoMars Schiaparelli entry, descent and landing technology demonstrator module.
Schiaparelli entered the martian atmosphere at 14:42 GMT on 19 October for its 6-minute descent to the surface, but contact was lost shortly before expected touchdown. Data recorded by its mothership, the Trace Gas Orbiter, are currently being analysed to understand what happened during the descent sequence.

Hey Lurker, URL disappeared... maybe this was about European Space Agency and NASA discovering its dead probe to Mars?

Thanks for the notification. Yes, this was about the failed Mars probe that was supposed to seek signs of life on Mars, and instead crash-landed. It included a link to the story, some quotes about how Mars probes seem to run into very bad luck, and some comment by me.
The comment was to point out that the probe had succeeded in its mission of proving Martian life: the Martians, thinking they were under attack, had shot it down. All this had been predicted by Ray Bradbury in his 1950 book The Martian Chronicles. He also predicted that the first three manned missions to Mars would be wiped out.
When I first sent it in to Dagblog, it had the link and the comment. The fact that they have disappeared would indicate that hostile Martians may be beginning their counterattack....

It's all rigged, I tell you. And Mars needs women - smoking hot women, as Donald would say, or soon will be.
And the original full movie... better than debates!
