What should happen to the New York City police officer who gripped Eric Garner in an apparent chokehold just before he died?
That is the politically explosive question facing Commissioner James P. O’Neill after the long-awaited disciplinary hearing for the officer, Daniel Pantaleo, concluded earlier this month.
The case is widely seen as a critical moment in Mr. O’Neill’s tenure at the top of the nation’s largest police force, an important test for a man who has staked his career on building trust between the police and black and Hispanic neighborhoods that view them warily.
It will be a tough call. The commissioner faces competing demands from the police unions, who have supported the officer and say he is a scapegoat, and many of the city’s elected leaders and community groups, who think he is emblematic of police brutality and should be fired.

De Blasio is a punk who breaks out into hives when he sees a cop from behind...it reminds him of the time they turned their backs on him (ohh, snap!) and put him in fear of his political career.

I only disagree with your use of the term "punk", I think "wimp" would be much more accurate.
