Moveon.org has had PPP busy in Republican House districts across the country. Here is the report of their findings. I was surprised to see there was more in Florida besides FL-2, FL-10 and FL-13. These findings are a little early for being a true bell whether of what might come in 2014 but is interesting. Maybe it will keep the Republicans from trying a shut down again in January and February.

There is an interactive map on the right of the page that shows the other 36 districts that they polled last week. That makes 61 house seats. I do expect the Democrats to pick up some seats in South Florida and FL-2 because of the trend that has been in the direction of more progressive politics. The shut down just gives the Democrats more to hammer away with. Dream Defenders have already started their voter registration drive for 2014 in Florida.

I read a couple articles on this subject recently but not as definitive as this one.
Yeah, we gotta shot!
But we need those state legislatures also!
What Walker has done in Wisconsin and what those tyrants have done in Michigan...
The struggle never ends!

We just flipped a state house senator seat last week from republican to a female democrat in a special election here in Florida. She carried 20% of the independent/republican vote. Grass roots have been working hard in Florida for the last 6 years. I guess it takes time. ALEC over gerrymandered the states they took over. I like what Dr Wang said,"What gerrymander gives can also take......" St. Pete is getting a new mayor next month and it will be a democrat for the first time in 40 years. I think some of the Republicans are scared of us ladies. At least in Texas they are. I am going to have to start reading Burnt Orange and keep up with the grass roots in Texas. The last thing a politician needs to do is piss off Texas women.
