Noticed possible change of "marketing" at official Black Lives Matter twitter account. They haven't mentioned anything to do with "defund police" meme for quite some time. Before that they were dissing Biden's statements at the same time demanding recognition from him.
The closest to topic was on Dec. 11, advocacy for blocking Mayor Gil Garcetti from Biden's cabinet. After that there's:a move to these topics
I think: a day late and a dollar short. If they had done this in like June or July! Instead they dug in their heels, past Biden's election, with the meme of police as evil. Obsessed with it. Basically giving themselves the label of a police hate group. Drawing the attention and solidarity of anti-police anarchists like the Boogaloo bois and idiots like these guys. Really stupidly asking for solidarity with extreme libertarians (hello GOP wingers happy to cut any government budget) and elite educated white lefty brats without realizing it (who happily arrived to do outside agitator duty in places like Portland and Kenosha.) And I think it will be very difficult to remove that label now, they're stuck with it.
Have no proof but seems to have helped set up a counterreaction by members other "minority" groups becoming interested in voting for Trump, especially immigrants.
Edit to add:
and
If they had only changed to focus on where massive death and suffering was happening: Covid, or even the devastation wrought by gun violence in inner cities, instead of illogically focusing on rare deaths at police hands.
