Exclusive: Russian-bought Black Lives Matter ad on Facebook targeted Baltimore and Ferguson
by artappraiser on Fri, 09/29/2017 - 1:41am
Are there sources reporting these stories are false?
Edit to add:
I think the evidence is clear that Russian Communists view black people as pawns.

Evidence that slowly piles up. Of course if you're only interestedin parroting some pro-trump/pro-putin agitprop as MoA seems these days, then each tree is an individual and never makes a forest, much less falls in it.
[And I approved this from the spam box, but are you going to stick around and take your lumps, or just pull a hit-and-run?]
by PeraclesPlease on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 7:13am
Yes, evidence slowly piles up. It's getting deeper and deeper.
The Russia-gate hysteria now routinely includes rhetoric about the U.S. being at “war” with nuclear-armed Russia, but the shaky factual foundation continues to show more cracks, as historian Daniel Herman describes.
Suppose we end up in another armed conflict [how many would that make?] or even if we just enter, or continue in, another dangerous cold war that drains our economy and reigns terror by proxy in multiple foreign countries and it is later found out that the colossal murderous mistakes were aided and abetted, were made possible, by deliberate lies and lies built out of ignorance. Would it be the first time? Or the second? Or the third? When does skepticism become the obviously correct mindset?
by A Guy Called LULU on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 10:05am
Are you saying that black activists in Baltimore are lying? Supply your evidence.
by rmrd0000 on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 10:25am
No, that is among the infinite number of things that I am not saying.
by A Guy Called LULU on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 10:48am
So you do believe that the Russians created fake sites targeting blacks in Baltimore?
by rmrd0000 on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 11:13am
Something I believe is that the author in the link I supplied makes a strong case for being intelligently skeptical of the ant-Russia hype that is bombarding us daily. Read only the first line of each paragraph if you are pressed for time. If you wish to pursue it further read the whole thing and the more than forty links he supplies as evidence for his case.
As for your question, how the hell would I know what to believe about that specific sample assertion with any confidence? Because Clapper said so? Because Republican James Lankford, said so? Show your evidence. This is from your Huffpost link:

Can you name one thing Russia's done or appears to have done in the last 3 years that you're critical of?
by PeraclesPlease on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 11:50am
Yes I can. Can you name one way that my doing so would be pertinent to what I have said in this thread?
by A Guy Called LULU on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 12:22pm
Yes, it has to do with whether it's even worth responding or simply doomed for the clotheshamper of time.

Silence. Finished with you and your Russia apologetics and US bashing. It's creepy.

ah, 'stick around and take your lumps'? how very pugilistic of you, peracles please. but your calling out MOA as agitprop for putin and trump is 'my lumps'? oh, no, i don't remember him as defending trump, but trying to bring some measure of sanity to the constant barrage of "Russis Did It'. but imagine you had to dig my comment out of spam; i like sites that require no registration, no pre-approval of comments, but that' just me.
likely this will be my sole other comment, and the rest of your rebuttals will go into the clothes hamper of time; i have a whole lot on my plate right now, and the confirmation bias against russia/putin is almost equal to the washington post's. ;-)
did you read b's deconstruction? well, okay, maybe, but just a couple other opinions, historical narratives and facts, okay, in no particular order.

Craig murray says the podesta emails weren't a hack, but a leak; makes a good case...if one believes him, of course....
and good thing germany said nope, the russians didn't hack our elections. but seriously, so much innuendo, so many reports akin to: 'anonymous employees of 16 nat-sec agencies believe...', yada, yada. yes, anyone who is not a russophobe is a putin-apologist. sheeesh.

Ctaig Murray back in 2016? Fuck him, go read some updates or some Empty Wheel for at least some analysis, or Kasparov for some understanding of Russians.

Trump and Putin both say that nothing happened. Why should we question them?
I never thought the "sources" would be such crap.
by rmrd0000 on Sat, 09/30/2017 - 9:07pm
It seems that the story is that Putin wouldn't have directed agencies to create dissent in the United States. Of course, if he did it really didn't matter. Black activists in Baltimore did notice fake sites appeared during the run up to the election. What seems false about the story?

Latest Fake News Panic Appears to Be Fake News.
by A Guy Called LULU on Sun, 10/01/2017 - 10:10am
Did Facebook and Twitter say that they shut down Blacktivist accounts that actually originated in St Petersburg, Russia or didn't they?
Twitter: Russian ads
http://www.thedailybeast.com/twitter-russia-linked-facebook-propagandist...
Facebook: Russian bought ads impersonating BLM to create discord
http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/27/media/facebook-black-lives-matter-target...
You purposefully ignore facts that do not go along with your belief that this is all fake news. Why are you acting as a shill for Trump and Putin?
Your Langford story does not make the Blacktivist story fake news.
Shill on.
Edit to add:
You already pointed out that the stories included
"Lankford did not provide evidence to corroborate his statement"
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-congress-cyber-russia/senator-says...
The CNN story on Blacktivist account is direct reporting.
Both Facebook and Twitter informed Congress of Russian ads.

Is that fake news?
by rmrd0000 on Sun, 10/01/2017 - 10:56am
Did I say anything about Blacktivist?
Langsford’s fake news was intended to get people to believe what you believe. Pointing out that one piece of fake news is in fact fake news which hyped the Russian threat is not an argument that Russia did nothing. It is part of a comment on the news we get.
Nothing I have ever said at Dagblog could be construed as support for Trump or for any of his policies or actions post election.
Virtually every controversial comment or submission I have posted here for a long time involves a critique of the news. You call me a shill for Trump and Putin. Ignorance on parade. How about using both of your brain cells. Being critical of today’s news coverage is not shilling for Putin anymore than being skeptical of our governments pronouncements and objecting to the NYT’s coverage of the build up to the Iraqi invasion was shilling for Saddam Hussein.
Here is a link I think you should actually read.
by A Guy Called LULU on Sun, 10/01/2017 - 4:15pm
Lulu, people here have been critical of MSM. Re-read the dagblog reviews of election coverage of Hillary and Bernie vs. the coverage of Trump. The reason, I consider you a shill is because you press what you say is "Russia hysteria". Russia attacked our election system. The NFL " take a knee" story does not make Trump advisor connections to Russia and a Russian attack on election systems in several states false. You are acting as an apologist. We are in a Cyberwar. Russians wanted blacks to be pawns.
by rmrd0000 on Sun, 10/01/2017 - 4:54pm
Fact: Consortium news has never published an article critical of the Russian government or Vladimir Putin. (murdered journalists, fixed elections, polonium, MH shootdown, Crimea takeover, "rebel" armies, political assassinations, 1999 apartment terror bombings...)
Fact: Consortium News has never published an article alleging the US government ever, in its entire history, told the truth.
