The top two leaders of the Senate intelligence committee are leaving the door open to holding Michael Flynn in contempt of Congress after President Trump's former national security adviser said he would invoke his Fifth Amendment rights rather than comply with a subpoena.
Sen. Richard Burr, the chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, said the panel was reviewing a range of options to compel Flynn to disclose records about his meetings with Russian officials, including holding Flynn in contempt. The flood of info is disorienting.
I used to cheat on my 17 minute/hr commercial committment by listening to "the shows" in podcast, like two hours after tv realtime, but now, by then,, half the time, the stuff is obso-fuckin'-lete.

On the other hand, the only benefit to catching things in real time is our addiction to the "developing" thing?

Just a little something else to add to an overall fun read ... why worry about ubiquitous "fake news" when it's so much more effective to use what you know are lies to your advantage?

yez, thank you...and is it just me....seems like CNN does a much better job with the story as a whole, making clear what went on. Washington Post sort of beats around the bush with a lot of fancy writin'.

I remember a Croatian friend telling me how a guy came up to him on a bench & said, "you know those shady looking guys that were sitting next to you". "Yeah". "They took your bag about 5 minutes ago." "Oh, that's nice - perhaps you could have waited another half an hour before telling me to be really sure they got away".
The lack of urgency in all this is really galling. You'd think it was a 3-year Millennium project rather than "All About Last Summer".

Jared Kushner says he will cooperate in Trump-Russia inquiry after reports he is under scrutiny
Investigators were focused on meetings Kushner held with Russian officials last year as part of inquiry into Russian interference in 2016 election, sources said
As long as I am here, I'd like to recommend this piece on the topic of "why the hell isn't someone doing something?" why more patience might be warranted:
