Thad Cochran who is a bastard beat an even worst bastard in Mississippi.
I have no idea why this has any affect upon me!
It just struck me as strange in that Mississippi will only go so far to destroy America as I know it!

I am sorry I missed this earlier.
This is the way open primaries and run offs are won in the South. The deep south is a one party system. You have the guy in office and the guy who wants to be in office. So you vote in the primary that you want to vote for or vote against. Then if there is a run off you can return to vote again.
I am in a close primary southern state. I know people who vote straight Democrat in the general but are registered Republican so they have 2 chances to vote against a Republican. I also know Republicans that are registered as Democrat for the same reason. This is why Florida is hard to poll. The polls tend to skew to the right a couple of points because most of the north boarder counties show more Democrat registration then Republican but only Republicans win up there in landslides. The poles end up Republican heavy. It is getting better because the new minority voter is registering true to their leanings.
Mississippi did the right thing by voting for Cochran. McDaniel was a gun happy racist that was a few bricks short of a load. At least we don't have to put up with him jumping in front of a camera with his hate and insanity. Cruse already holds that job.
