as per your link from Politco EU here (and some of my recent ranting to Lulu) I think hardly anyone cares about that kind of stuff anymore, as the U.S.A. did not achieve MAGA status under Trump--just the opposite--and it is no longer a hegemon nor empire, and is far from exceptional. Same as a lot of other countries with significant military capabilities, we killed the enemy of an temporary ally, nothing more, nothing less. If there ever was a "war of civilizations", there certainly is not one now. We are all struggling with simply maintaining the civilization thing.

I didn't support the war with ISIS, but I'm not absolutely, one hundred percent sure it's immoral. Things would be a lot worse for Iraqis if they were ruled by ISIS, and unlike some of America's other adversaries ISIS has no right to rule.
