Really? Sure he was down, but I didn't expect him to drop out before Iowa and never heard anyone suggest it.

Rumors were floating since the last debate that his campaign was in trouble and he could be the next one to drop out. He had lost some of his backers. Even before the debate I watched Huffington LIve with Howard Fineman, A reference was made to Walker had become a candidate that no one cared about.
He was Koch's pick only his suit was too empty. When Trump entered all the gold in the world was not going to help Walker. Walker flat lined. Rubio has picked up Walker's financial supporters.
It is amazing how quickly he slipped from his summer high. Some deep bench the GOP has got.

When the campaign began, Walker was the one I was most concerned about. Apparently that concern was misplaced. Deep bench indeed.

You don't live in a state that has one of these empty suits that have been bought by the likes of the Koch bros. They are really bad politicians and not very smart. They only represent a regional niche group of people that voted for them to express their protest and private interest in that time and space. They didn't vote for them because they wanted progress. You have ask yourself what was going on in Wisconsin? Why did this state vote for him? What was wrong with Wisconsin's Democratic Leadership to let him get a foot hold in the state?
Florida votes for empty suits but a Wisconsin brand of empty suit would not appeal to Florida. Lets face it who in their right mind would vote for Rick Scott's dancing little eyes out side of Florida. Rick Scott didn't become governor of Florida because of his talent but because of other factors. The Florida Democratic Party and the DNC keeps picking candidates that are too conservative for the liberal base in Florida and the base don't turn out for them in midterm. There were some other factors that helped put him in office.
I know a lot of people was worried that Walker might be as great has his PR story line. All I saw was another bozo Republican governor trying to swim in an anti establishment wave year.

Who do you see, at this early stage, as the Republican nominee? And who, if different, do you think might be the biggest challenge to the Democratic choice?
I'm keeping an eye on Rubio now, though I think Kasich would be a formidable opponent. Luckily, the Republicans will likely nominate anyone other than him.

I'm surprised he dropped out. The narrative at the beginning of the season was that any winnowing would take place late as each candidate would have a sugar daddy. There have been claims for weeks that Rand Paul was having money issues but he hasn't dropped out. Yet the first report that Walker was having money issues came only a week ago and already he's gone.

The GOP has so many problems right now. Rience Preibus(sp?) was Walker's bff and biggest supporter. Koch has control of the Republican get out the vote data base and Rinse 'n Spin was not happy that the Kochs would not turn that list back over to the RNC. For all practical purposes Rinse 'n Spin is just a figure head right now. The Koch bros. are the ones behind the curtain. My instincts are about the same as yours. I would look to see Rubio get fluffed up by Koch money.
Rubio is photogenic and I know a couple of old ladies that voted for him in 2010 because they thought he was cute and kissable. Only Rubio is as empty headed as they were. He does ok if he sticks to talking points but he don't think very well on his feet. The Kochs like him because he very malleable and will do their bidding. Originally he was being groomed by Jeb and the Bush machine to run for president. During the 2010 election for senate, Rubio broke with Bush and went his own direction. There is some animosity between the two. Rubio thinks he is God's gift to the presidency and wants it as bad as Walker did.
Jeb is not very good at campaigning but neither is Rubio. Jeb has the Bush machine behind him so he will be able to stay in the race through March. I don't know much about Kasich except my family in Ohio don't like him.
There does seem to be an anti establishment thing going on in the GOP voters right now. Will this continue and how will it effect the GOP turn out? If Trump the red meat rump roast implodes will some of the haters stay home? We are in unchartered waters.
Your guess is as good as mine.
