In recent weeks, one after another prominent voice, many of them political voices, have been silenced by sexual harassment charges. Not one of these cases has yet been adjudicated in a court of law. Leon Wiesenthal, David Corn, Mark Halperin, Michael Oreskes, Al Franken, Ken Baker, Rick Najera, Andy Signore, Jeff Hoover, Matt Lauer, even Garrison Keillor—all have received the professional death sentence. Some of the charges sound deadly serious. But others—as reported anyway—make no sense. I can’t say whether the charges against these men are true; I wasn’t under the bed. But even if true, some have been accused of offenses that aren’t offensive, or offenses that are only mildly so—and do not warrant total professional and personal destruction.

I think we're getting into bullshit territory with the metoo movement. The complaint that sunk Franken was that he squeezed a woman's waist while taking a photo. The straw that broke the back wasn't even a face to face hug where he might have pressed her breasts against him or rubbed his penis on her. There are no claims he lowered his hand to her ass or up to her breast. Just squeezed her waist. It's fucking ridiculous. I don't really like to hug, it makes me uncomfortable but I have a friend who does. She wraps her arms around me and pushes her body against mine. Yes it did make me uncomfortable but I let it happen because she's a hugger. Some people are some people aren't. By the waist squeeze standard she's a serial sexual harasser. It's nonsense, moral hysteria. Tina Dupuy shouldn't have gotten to write a long Atlantic article. She should have been laughed out of the room

I am so furious about this I can hardly sit still! If you need any further proof that Al Franken was set up, look no further than Roger Stone’s comment a day before the first accusation. What is an innocent person to do?
Apologize for anything he might have done that made any of these women uncomfortable?
Check
State that although he remembers the incident(s) differently, he nonetheless recognizes that their feelings matter?
Check
Immediately call for, and agree to cooperate fully, in an Ethics Investigation?
Check
Pledge to be a part of this very important conversation as he works to restore the confidence of his constituency?
Check
But there will be no Ethics Investigation because the cowardly Dems pushed him out of office. There will be no trial, because he is not accused of a crime. So, Al Franken can never clear his name because there is no way to get his accusers under oath.
please note that no one in the Democratic “leadership” ordered Rep Menendez to resign although he was accused of actual CRIMES. I wonder why?
Let’s see. If Menendez has resigned, Chris Christie would have appointed his replacement, while a Dem Governor will appoint Al’s. Their fake morality is there for all to see. It was stupid anyway to say that this would make the GOP cop to being hypocrites. That would be hilarious if it weren’t so fucking pathetic.
The #metoo cause is going to go down as a joke and a scam because of over-reach. Why should any accusation by a woman be given the presumption of truth, and every accused the presumption of guilt? Did anyone catch the news story about the woman who tried to ruin WAPO by faking a story about Roy Moore? It happens. Roger Stone Roger Stone Roger Stone James O’Keefe Veritas. Veritas
The particularly lame accusations against Franken really are especially insulting. They are ridiculous.
My one remaining wish if a genie comes my way is that Mueller never got any closer to a woman other than his wife than Pence gets to his ‘mother.’ Because if he ever even smiled at a woman, hell wont have it!
