Iran and the United States have secretly made significant progress toward an agreement that would aim to keep Iran “two or three years away” from a nuclear weapons capability, and would see an easing of economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic, an Israeli TV report said on Wednesday.

This might turn out to be a foreign policy triumph for the Obamatron--and perhaps a rebuke to the neocons who were calling for war with Iran.

I think that all of these articles are a reflection that there are real supposals (as distinguished from proposals) being referred unofficially and which allow for plausible deniability. I'd be surprised if that's not happening.
It does seem that there is exploration of what would be a major breakthrough, and that is that the U.S. may be looking for ways that will allow for Iran to continue enriching but will allow for sufficient transparency. I'd be surprised if that's not what's happening--because it's the easiest way to a deal--and perhaps the hardest thing to accomplish.
