TMZ has the 'street brawl' video of A$AP flinging a guy across the street, then joining 3 bro's beating the guy while he's down, apparently senseless, before they hustle out of the scene. Doesn't look like self defense.
Typically for Trump, although the investigation by the police is not completed, and Trump assuredly knows nothing about it other than what his fellow vacuous best bud top American celebrities "dragon energy" Kanye or Kim told him, Trump reflexively supports the entertainment personality,

There's another video taken before the fight. It appears that A$AP was followed and harassed and tried to avoid a fight. What may have begun as self defense possibly devolved into a violent beat down grossly out of proportion to the initial cause. Though the investigation has just begun so we don't know all the details of the whole story. The issue at this point isn't about any actual criminal behavior but whether he should be released on bail or whether he is a flight risk and should be denied bail.
You're right though. Trump's involvement has nothing to do with the actual case which he knows nothing about. It's about sucking up to a couple of famous black entertainers that support him to hopefully get some black endorsements. If it wasn't for the Kardashians he would reflexively side with the white government officials against the black defendants.

I think: highly popular high profile entertainers, he doesn't care what color they are. They are either friend or foe, both useful, both need attention. I.E., tweets about Rosie O'Donnell. I.E., Kim Jong Un? Just another big celebrity to woo or fight in

It's unseemly and corrupt to intervene before basic facts are known. Who are we to stop or intervene in a basic investigation? Especially for a non-state matter. Trump pardons shouldn't work overseas.
