(Mary) Walsh is the co-creator and star of This Hour Has 22 Minutes -- a nightly news parody show in the same vein as The Daily Show -- and she arrived in character, as the conservative Marg Delahunty, to the Borders where Palin (the "Alaskan Aphrodite") was signing books.

"I just wanted to ask you if you have any words of encouragement for Canadian conservatives who have worked so hard to try to diminish the kind of socialized medicine we have up there." Walsh shouted to Palin as she approached the table.

Walsh caught up with her in the parking lot, where Palin suggested that Canada should get rid of its public health care system. "Keep the faith" Palin said, "because common sense conservatism can be plugged in there in Canada too. In fact, Canada needs to reform its health care system and let the private sector take over some of what the government has absorbed."

A recent study found that 90 percent of Canadians support universal, single-payer health care. A poll taken last summer shows 82 percent of Canadians believe their health care system to be better than the US's, despite constant grumbling about waiting times for treatment of non-life-threatening conditions.

This is Palin's second brush with Canadian comedians. Last November a comedian from Montreal convinced the former governor she was speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Michelle Bachmann appeared at a conference of Teabaggers  For a More White And Less Welfare Prone America last night. A great host of reporters approached her including Buffy the Clown of the Taj Majal in Las Vegas.

Buffy, who was dressed up at the time as Bozo's ex-wife Palozo, piped up:

New statistics demonstrate that Negroes are more likely to be incarcerated as criminals leaving their children on AFDC. Is the best possible course for America the abolition of all Aid to Dependent Children?

Michelle responded:

Aid to Dependent Children fosters inappropriate conduct on the part of  all minorities as well as handicapped white Americans.  AFDC also encourages the lowlifes in this country  to procreate at a greater pace than responsible White America. AFDC must be abolished.

 

Rush Limbaugh recently attended a gathering of the Americans for a Whiter & Brighter America in upper New York State this week to give a prepared speech demanding the abolition of Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendment guarantees for those who cannot afford attorneys.

Colbert, of the Colbert Report approached the icon with this question:

Is it true that your radio show has welcomed a new Sponsor called the Soylent Green Corporation?  And is it not also true that its new slogan is: If you cannot beat the fatherless children in this country, eat them.

Glenn Beck organized an impromptu parade of the United Citizens Against Infrastructure at the steps of our Capitol yesterday.

Just prior to giving his speech entitled: Never Pay Taxes, No Way, No How, Stan Kinison appeared with a press badge and asked the Cable Con Man:

We all are sick and tired of taxes, and we all know that some monies are being wasted LIKE IN THE FUCKING PENTAGON AND FOR ARMING OUR SOLDIERS IN THE GODDAMN COUNTRIES THAT HATE US.

But tell me Mr. Beck, in all seriousness, HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED ATTEMPTING SUICIDE AGAIN WITH THE PROSPECT OF SUCCEEDING THIS TIME?

Jon Stewart was present amongst a throng of reporters at the National Fascists & Torturers Awards ceremony last night held in a military bunker somewhere near Raleigh, South Carolina.  Dick Cheney attended the festivities to receive the Lifetime Achievement for War Mongers Award.

 

As Dick Cheney approached the bunker from his limosine, Stewart shouted a question:

Have you been served with the most recent Indictments, Mr. Cheney?

FUCK YOU, responded the former Vice-President of the United States.
