The national polls have begun to turn the president’s way, and he has held small but stable leads in the key swing states. Nate Silver’s 538 blog has his reelection chances pegged at nearly 81 percent on Friday. It does seem like there’s been more genuine excitement from liberals about a second term ever since Obama came to life in the second debate and since Hurricane Sandy reminded people about the purpose of government and what is really at stake.

NEWT THE JACKASS
An email accidentally sent to a Newt Gingrich newsletter’s list of subscribers warns that Barack Obama is going to win this election — but it’s 2016 that we all need to worry about now.
ABC News reports:
...The email was supposed to go to another Human Events list, Guerriero said.
“The truth is, the next election has already been decided. Obama is going to win. It’s nearly impossible to beat an incumbent president,” wrote Porter Stansberry in the email. ”What’s actually at stake right now is whether or not he will have a third-term.
Yup. There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a 3rd term for Barack Hussein Obama.
As usual THE NEWT hit the thumb on the nail! Or he hammered his thumb instead of the nail? I get soooo very confused when I read about THE NEWT.
I DO KNOWTHIS: a third term for some Muslim Communist Pornographer would sure would screw up our Constitutional Government!
JOE THE JACKASS
Joe Scarborough is the king of the ignorant brigade, having declared on his television program, “Anybody that thinks that this race is anything but a tossup right now is such an ideologue, they should be kept away from typewriters, computers, laptops and microphones for the next 10 days, because they’re jokes.”
What’s especially amusing, though, is that Silver’s conclusion — that Obama is more likely than not to win, based in large part on the polls — is also Joe Scarborough’s position; Joe Scarborough just doesn’t seem to know it. This is Scarborough’s latest Politico blog post. He looks at recent polls and interprets them (with his GUT) thusly:
With President Obama maintaining his five-point lead in Ohio in today’s poll, Romney must run the table on the six remaining swing states or expand the electoral map. Considering how rough the internals look in this morning’s Ohio survey, Boston must know that winning the White House now depends on their candidate stealing Michigan, Minnesota or Pennsylvania out of the Obama column next Tuesday. Their play in those three Midwest states now appears to be more out of weakness than strength, though a new survey does put Romney within 3 points in Michigan
As Joe made his assessment on the only guy who correctly called the 2008 election (while Joe threw his own excrement at the camera), Mika chimed in:
...but I really like Nate's smile!
Joe sneered and went into a rant that had something to do with liberal MSM and Olbermann and how America is still 'right of center' and our nation is set for bankruptcy and Armageddon even though he went to public school in northern Florida with Negroes and stuff.
SARAH PALIN THE JACKASS
Sarah Palin's political action committee gave $5,000 to Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney's campaign on Wednesday.
Sarah can come up with the goods when she can make a buck out of it? What?
Of course Mitt immediately gave his son a $10,000 bonus for all of his hard work!
Sarah gave herself a $15,000 bonus from the PAC for exertion beyond the pale.
ROVER THE JACKASS
In an op-ed published in The Wall Street Journal, the former George W. Bush adviser said he expected Romney to win with 51 percent of the vote to Obama's 48, "with Mr. Romney carrying at least 279 Electoral College votes, probably more.
Getting back to Scarborough and a number of other 'pundits' Barry will win by a hair or Romney will win by a hair or Romney will sky-rocket to stardom as the greatest winner in a Presidential Election since Goldwater? Or was it Gore? I really really do get confused.
BUT:
“If you hadn’t had the storm, there would have been more of a chance for the [Mitt] Romney campaign to talk about the deficit, the debt, the economy," Rove said. "There was a stutter in the campaign. When you have attention drawn away to somewhere else, to something else, it is not to his [Romney's] advantage."
DICK MORRIS THE JACKASS
The false dawn of January has faded and the hard, cold reality of a likely second recession is setting in. But this recession is accompanied by the likelihood of inflation, a stagflation syndrome that will probably grip America for years. And which will likely take a manmade recession, on the order of 1979-82, to counter it.
Will Obama get reelected? No way! In the teeth of the economic catastrophe that is shaping up, his chances are DOOMED.
Dick is certainly the prognosticator whose predictions must always be followed as long as you wish Dick to continue to receive his multimillion dollar salary from fraudulent PAC's and fees for speeches he never wrote and from FOX News.
There are a hundred jackasses that we must listen to; that we have had to listen to over the last 4 years of campaigning.
Let us just once; just once ever six elections or so; remember the idiots and jot down their actions as well as their predictions.
It aint over until it is over says Yogi Berra.
But damn, I am so sick of hearing solid lies every frickin day for four frickin years.
Xxxxx
Individual polls are wrong much of the time, but they are rarely wrong in aggregate. The likelihood that Obama’s apparent advantage comes through flawed or systematically biased polling decreases as the sample size grows. So let’s look at the polling averages compiled by RealClearPolitics of the 12 states purportedly in play. (I am including Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania because of the Romney camp’s expressions of confidence, though as I wrote yesterday, it smacks of spin.) According to polling averages from those dozen battlegrounds, Romney leads in three: North Carolina (by 3.8 points), Florida (by 1.2 points) and Virginia (by 0.5 points). Obama leads in nine. In only one of those — Colorado, where the President leads on average by 0.6 points — is his average margin as small as Romney’s edges in Florida and Virginia, two states the GOP nominee badly needs to to win.
I feel compelled to post this with only two days from the election. If I posted this later, I would be accused of 'rear-view' punditry or 'back-dating' or looking back in history with the knowledge already recorded or...
Damn I get confused.
GO VOTE FOR CHRISSAKES!
Oh I watched the Prez with Wild Bill giving a speech and they played:
LET US HOPE! AND PRAY IF YOU HAVE TO!

dd, I love this - but, how did you ever choose which Jackasses to highlight, since there are so many to choose from? Maybe you could do a weekly Jackass post, focusing on the ones that 'jumped the shark' that week?
I didn't get to see Obama and Clinton, but it sure got raves. I hope some day that Bill will play the Sax and Barack will sing - what a duet that would be to hear and see!

Oh Auntie, they were both horse as hell and peeps were cheering and in the background there was Fleetwood...
I am a sucker for this kind of thing. really, hahahahah
I do not understand why Wild Bill is working so damn hard for nothing!
Although it might be that his charities find good gov support and Hillary is given the nod in 2016.
But I love it!

Romney is maybe less than Jackass and more of Jerk. The latest campaign video from Romney attempts to show his life's connection to those who aren't part of the 1%

I'M IN THE PHONE BOOK; I'M IN THE PHONE BOOK!
Thanks for the link to the Romney Campaign Party.

I think Ann Romney's willingness to show up on the porch is enough to show me that my vote should go to Mitt.
by Elusive Trope on Sun, 11/04/2012 - 4:51pm
Of course, if we think of phone books as the new poll numbers, we understand the media so much better

Well, you know we can go our own way; but probably only so far. hahahahah
