This week as we begin with a Federal Holiday in honor of one of my great heroes; it is certainly time to reflect.

As we reflect, we should wonder what is this all going to mean in the years to come?

I mean fifty years from now what will be the status of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act of the 60's?

Well Q gave me cause to pause and consider these types of questions. I mean what is it all going to mean 1,000 years from now?

In the year 3100 AD, what will be recalled about the Beatles and their lead singer Scotty Pippin?  We only have to look to that great State of Texas for some answers:

When we last checked in on the U.S. history textbooks standards setting process down in Texas, the conservative-dominated State Board of Education was mulling one-sided requirements to teach high school students about Newt Gingrich, Phyllis Schlafly, and the Moral Majority.

Now, in the home stretch of a process that will set the state's nationally influential standards, a liberal watchdog group is worried that the State Board of Education will try to push through changes to claim that communist-hunting Sen. Joseph McCarthy has been vindicated by history, among other right-wing pet issues. http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/01/the_rehabilitation_of_joseph_mccarthy_texas_textbo.php#more

Here are some interesting gems I discovered from my brief review of some history textbooks published by the Repub Textbook Foundation of America. This great publishing company run by Liz Cheney and Heddah Bush (a distant cousin of w's), is making new inroads into reforming our failed educational system:

    1.               The South won the Civil War but decided to sign the Truce of Appomattox.  General Robert E. Lee, the greatest son of that king of all slave owners Lighthorse Harry Lee,  forced General "I hate Black People too" Grant to sign terms for the Union Army's surrender. The two agreed that sharecroppers would not longer be called 'slaves' so that Europe would think the good ole US of A would look more civilized. Included in the terms was a provision to make Dallas the Capital of the United States within fifty years or at least see more defense contracts than any other area of the country.

    2.               The communists accomplished a coup in this country in 1933 and stayed in control for the next 21 years. The Social Security Act of 1935 was authored by Leon Trotsky who became FDR's most trusted advisor. The communists accomplished this take over of our country once again in 1961. Because a jealous husband shot JFK in Dallas in 1963, this country was betrayed by Lyndon Johnson who instituted a police state for five years and passed the Universal Health Care for Negroes Act of 1966.  Contrary to other accountings of the era, Lyndon Johnson was really a spy sent here from the Canadian Communist Party and trained to adopt a Texas accent and the rustic table manners of most Texas politicians.

    3.               Ronald Reagan was elected President of the United States of America in November of 1976 but the United States Supreme Court made James Earl Carter President through some chicanery in the Electoral College.  But America had an opportunity to rise again in 1981 when St. Ronald Reagan was made President of the United States and served twelve years. Because of his leadership, two million African Americans were imprisoned for traitorous activities and the South began to rise again. Texas finally received the defense contracts it was promised some 115 years prior. Reagan single handedly lifted ten million white people out of poverty and Mexicans were permanently outlawed within our boundaries.  He also defeated Russia in twelve major battles and sent troops into Vietnam to finally destroyed its communist party.

    4.               In 1991 that lying duplicitous William Clinton was sworn in as a socialist dictator, taking over our federal voting system and working closely with the leading communist organization of the 1990's; the NAACP.  The Holy Bible was outlawed for eight long years and Slick Willie (as he was known in politer circles) read regularly from the Qoran.

There are several other important truths that have been added to the elementary school curriculum.

The earth was created in 4000 BC. The garden of Eden was really located just ten miles north of Dallas, and Adam always wore clothes.

Slaves and their families were happy and content to do God's work in the gardens of cotton.

Fluoride was added to the water system of the U.S. during the communist administrations of the thirties and forties. This had the effect of making children of color ill at ease with their proper station in life which would eventually lead them to the teachings of the communist demagogue Martin Luther King.

William Clinton is related to Osama Bin Ladin on his mother's side.

Barack Obama was born in Kenya  in 1958 and his parents were not married. http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/
