An Unindicted, Unendorsed Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

Hiding in shadows,
waiting for the sun to set,
and the moon to rise.

Another Star-Spangled Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

The rockets' red glare,
bombs bursting in air, gave proof
that we love fireworks.

An Extremely Late Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

Somewhere in the deep
recesses of my brain, sleep
forgotten haikus.

The usual, ineffective rant in knee-jerk response to another shooting incident ...

Hi.  Again.

Well, it happened again.  Just like we knew it would.   We will cry and make statements like:
"No-one needs an AK47.  It is a military weapon designed to kill people as quickly and efficiently as possible.  That is it's only purpose.  It is not a gun used for target practice or to hunt for food or protect one's home and hearth.  It is a killing weapon.  Period.   F*ck the NRA.  F*ck Everyone that supports the NRA.   If you are an NRA member, you support the Death of Innocents.  Their blood is forever on you."

Here's this week's heap of haikus:

South wind, cloudy sky
the ever present mountain
never once asks why.

Here's this week's heap of haikus:

Remembrance of war
a flag of the rising sun
will be going home.

A Quiet, Rainy Friday Afternoon at the Haikulodeon

Darkness overwhelms,
but then, the morning sunrise
peeks through my window.

Cinco de Mayo?
Torpedo a condiment!
(Yeah, it's a cheap joke.)
