The Bird, the Bear, and the Elephant in the Room

Above the dissonance the people sigh

The Russians hacked the right wing’s foul deceit

The Elephant inside the power lines

Retorts to post his glower’d circus tweet

The Bear is outed in a broad rebuke

The worst may come about before The Ides

A vision of an orange mushroom nuke

    Descends upon cerebral neuron tides

A somber mood has taken us away

The influence of forces bared and deep

To find all reason sorely held at bay

Beneath the amber waves of read and weep

Yet rising from within the Donkey’s bray

To flick the bird, and strangest herd, away.

    Nicely done, stratofrog.  Thank you.

Thank you.  It's my first sonnet.

Just an elitist version of FU to the New Banana Republican Communist Party.

    Croak. Rbbbt. yes

Thanks. Maybe you've seen this? More Donkumenting.

"This document provides technical details regarding the tools and infrastructure used by the Russian civilian and military intelligence Services (RIS) to compromise and exploit networks and endpoints associated with the U.S. election, as well as a range of U.S. Government, political, and private sector entities. The U.S. Government is referring to this malicious cyber activity by RIS as GRIZZLY STEPPE."

    Stratofrog... Bananas?

    Yes they are some bananas...

    . .~OGD~

    Wow! Great graphic! Thanks Golden.

Well… technically speaking, Russia is of course a capitalist democracy.  I would call them an Oligarchy. But bananas they are. It makes the boots all the sweeter to lick. But worldwide, there is no sharp distinction between "bananas" and Idiocracy.

And your sonnet is spot on!

Love your words, Stratofrog! Even when they're somber heavy waves washing over my neural synapses somehow they don't extinguish the light but ignite a spark.

It's going to be a bitch of a year. But

    Bring it, 2017!

    There is never time

    to love enough; to reflect

    upon the glory.

      Yet infinity exists

      where timeless hearts keep playing.

This is exactly what I need today to ease my malaise.

    Thank you Librewolf

The amber waves of read and weep!

Yes, Stratofrog.  We all die.  I wish we could all understand where you are now.  Sadly, my own belief is that what you left us is all we have.  But that is enough.  Thank you.

Nothing is what we have.  May as well embrace it.

Much love, for this and you.
