The "it'll be just this once" excuse
Comments
Translation for:A State Department spokesperson declined to comment on the judge's decision. A Justice Department spokesman said: "We are reviewing the judge's opinion and order": Sorry Judge Mehta, Sec. Tillerson doesn't think we should have the kind of staffing to do that kind of stuff any more.

Oh and this is the way it is going to work now if something strange happens at an embassy location: We can't say much about "the incident"
August 9, 2017 3:26 PM EDT - Spokesperson Heather Nauert gave few details about the incident at a Aug. 9 State Department briefing. (Reuters)
you have to go ask the Associated Press, they are the ones who have contacts at our embassies who can tell you what's up with that.
Edit to add: interestingly, I see not all right wing media is happy about the Tillerson way of answering questions about "incidents", either. After so many years of it, they've got the Benghazi mind about State Dept. no matter who is running it.

I hate to sound like a republican, but does anyone remember the consequences of GWBush's White House "losing " 2,000,000 emails and then destroying the illegal (Republican Party) computers that were housed there?
I do. There were none.
