It is strange that Cory Booker refused to raise his hand and commit to returning to the nuclear deal. He does not otherwise seem like an idiot.

Booker would be excellent as HUD Secretary, but he is not presidential material. I was on a long drive during the Barr hearings, and Booker’s questions were all about getting Barr to agree to have a Blue Ribbon Commission on race. Booker did all the talking, and did not ask one single substantive question about what mattered, such as Barr’s obvious bias toward Executive Power.
Sure, Barr was going to be approved anyway, but Booker’s filibuster-style questions wasted everyone’s time. Barr eventually gave his typical ‘non-answer answer’ to the one-track-mind questions.
I can’t help but see him in this light every time he speaks.
